The CLAT exam is the gateway to 22 National Law Universities (NLUs). Approximately 55,000 students sit for the exam.
This year, the exam will be held on 3rd December, 2023 in an offline mode.
Interestingly, the CLAT consortium has decided to retain its approach of making students choose their college preferences in the form itself for the second year in a row.
The candidates applying for CLAT 2024 will have to pay Rs. 4,000 (+ a small convenience fee) to sit for the exam.
This may however slightly be different for students belonging to other categories.
For students belonging to general category, 55% in CBSE Board or any other such board is the minimum eligibility for sitting in the CLAT exam. Students currently in class XII are also eligible to sit for the exam.
We encourage the students to always fill their forms in advance. It is also important to fill the form very carefully. Do feel free to ask a mentor before submitting your form.
